We want them to know there’s a way out! They can get help. We need your help to reach more kids–before it’s too late.\n\n\n\n  \nFeaturing:\n\nXavier Fulton\, a Canadian football offensive tackle. He was drafted by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2009 NFL draft. Xavier will share his inspirational story about living with anxiety and depression as well as the challenges of athletic traumatic brain injuries.\n\n\n\n\n\nEntertainment By:\n\nWhen the Sun Sets\, a Chicago based band whose mission is to change lives with their music.\n\n\n  \nWalk With Us! \n\n\n\n\n\nThis Walk is a special event that brings together residents of Illinois for an amazing cause with fun for the entire family. \n\n\n \n\n\nDate: May 19\, 2019\n\n\nTime: 11:00 am – 3:00 pm\n\n\nLocation: Grant Park ~ Arvey Field\, Chicago\, Illinois 60605 United States\n\n\n(near the corner of Columbus Drive and Roosevelt Road)\n\n\n \n\n\nSchedule of events:\n\n\n\n11:00 am Registration\n\n\n12:00 pm – Opening Ceremony\n\n\n12:30 pm – Walk\n\n\n1:30 pm –   Fun\, Food\, Activities & Entertainment Continues\n\n\n3:00 pm –   Hat Decorating Winners Announced\n\n\nRegister Now!

SUMMARY:Out of the Shadows Book Signing
DESCRIPTION:Author Mark Litzsinger Book Signing at Lake Forest Book Store \nLake Forest resident Mark Litzsinger discusses his newly updated book entitled OUT OF THE SHADOWS: REVEALING THE PATH TO RECOVERY. \nReservations suggested but not required. Call 847-434-2240. \nBooks are available for purchase and signing. All proceeds go to Rush University Medical Center – Department of Psychiatry. \nImagine living in a darkness so deep\, you can’t eat well\, you can’t sleep well\, you can’t concentrate on anything for very long–in short\, your life is not as it once was. Depression often feels like moving through a fog so thick it envelopes every aspect of your entire life. \nDepression had its claws in Mark Litzsinger for years\, but by taking the hands offered to him from family\, friends\, and medical professionals\, he was able to climb out of the shadows and back into his life. You too can make the same journey. \nThis updated book provides a hand to hold as you deal with depression. It is designed to help you–and your family\, friends\, and doctors–understand the disease and develop a plan for getting the best care to overcome depression. \nA graduate of Texas Christian University\, Mark Litzsinger is the former chairman of Follett Corporation. Now retired\, he spends time sailing and traveling. Mark shows his Samoyeds\, Sanibel and Aston\, as well as his collection of antique cars\, including a 1935 Packard Twelve 1207 Coupe Roadster. In addition\, he invented the Leash Grip\, which gives a dog walker a firmer\, more comfortable handle\, and the Leash Grip Extender\, which allows one person to walk multiple dogs. Mark also gives talks about his experiences with depression. He is a firm believer in giving back to society. Out of the Shadows is his first book.
