…woke up after not sleeping so well to a very long list of things that need to get done. I did what I normally do under those circumstances. I studied the list and prioritized it and even added to it and then I sat down and rested and enjoyed a cup of coffee (or two) while I mentally prepared for the day.

Once I was fully awake, I played one of my games I like to play with myself. I set a timer for one hour and get as much done as I can and then reward myself with a 30 minute break. I did this throughout the morning and got most of the top things done on my list and plenty of knitting, reading and relaxing too.

I often find I have trouble staying on track without my trusty timer, but this has worked so well for me and I love the feeling of getting things done just as much as the downtime.
