“I woke up feeling tired and drained. I have not been sleeping well lately. I have a lot that has to get done and lots that I want to get done, but I know my body and head need some rest. I decided to start with a 10 minute meditation app. I don’t do it everyday and I don’t know how much it’s helping, but the research shows it does, so I participate and move on with the have to’s on my list, instead of all the want to’s. I also remember that I’m always telling my patients and clients to pace themselves throughout the day and rest before they get tired, instead of jam packing themselves and then falling down exhausted. I look ahead to my day and plan out two times that I will protect just for me–just to rejuvenate.”
